It was so much fun to host the first Food Preservation and Frugality Workshop this past weekend at His Place Church! Most everyone who preregistered made it and we even had a few extras who brought friends! It was so good to see new, and familiar faces. Thanks to all who came and participated!
We began on time with a discussion on Hot Water Bath Canning, and the three P's..
The third section of the workshop was Freezing. I shared simple, frugal steps in preparing fruits and vegetables and meat for the freezer.
The fourth section was on Micro Greens and Sprouts.
Many said they were very encouraged in trying their hand at these new skills, and I am excited to hear about their endeavors at the next Workshop, or perhaps sooner if they share here!.
Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today!
Hmmmm....I better get back in the kitchen and finish pitting ALL those cherries so they will keep for the winter months. Gotta keep learning from that little old ant!
Blessings....Domestic Lady
