A Clean Home and Heart Introduction...
Welcome to the Clean Home and Heart section of Proverbs 31 Practical Helps. I was trying to think of the best way to start this off and I guess I should start with an introduction.
I grew up in rural North Idaho, the oldest of 7 children. One of the them shares my childhood memories and the others are still at home ages 14-6. My mother was and is a model housekeeper as well as being a near expert in herbs, gardening, sewing and organization and I strive everyday to keep my home as neat as she does. Needless to say, I received great on the job training for live as a wife and mother! :D
Anyway, I finished homeschool 15 years ago this May at 16 years old (to save you the math, I'm 31) and decided 4 years later to attend college, which I did for 5 out the next 6 years. I graduated with a B.A. in history with a minor in Latin from the University of Idaho. Two months after graduation, my now husband asked to court me and we became engaged 6 months later. We were married in April of 2007 and since then we have had three beautiful children; our daughters were born in January 2008, March 2009 and our son arrived August 2010. My life is busy but so much fun and so very rewarding.
I have enjoyed crocheting for the past 15 years and just recently picked up knitting for the first time...again. :D I tried my hand at canning last year, having helped my mom years ago and loved it. I'm currently working on my own garden and hope to be able to can my own veggies this fall. It helps that this is the first summer I have not been pregnant or had a new baby. I also love to read, sew, cross-stitch, play piano, sing and enjoy time with my family!
I have been blogging over at His Beloved since 2007 and wish I had more time for it!
My goals for this section is to create a place to share ideas of how to manage our homes like the Proverbs 31 woman and also to keep our hearts clean and uncluttered too. I hope to be able to also answer some questions in the near future so keep your eyes peeled for that. And I hope that you have enjoyed getting to know me just a bit! Won't you join me on this journey?
God bless!

"A Clean Heart and Home"
As an older woman I appreciate her as a younger woman whose heart is after the things of God and carrying them out in day to day life. She is in a different season of life than I am right now. She is a mommy with very precious little ones at home.
