My husband and I had the privilege of spending the past week in Cabo San Lucas for his sisters wedding! It was so beautiful that it seemed surreal! The ocean breezes kept things quite nice. After such a long winter in North Idaho I was looking forward to the sun! I did bring some light reading along from the Health and Welfare department so I could look things over before taking the test for my "official" Food Handlers Card. However taking this material on the trip was a big mistake! I was quite queasy about eating the food or drinking the water in Mexico to begin with and after hearing all the horror stories before we left.
So I had to put the manual away, and hope for the best. As I mentioned in a previous post, we have been drinking our Kefir to introduce the good porbiotics, and there was a Costco in Cabo where I was able to purchase some drinkable Probiotics, so we were able to avoid the Revenge of Montezuma!
With the trip behind us, and many wonderful memories to share, I can now look forward to the workshops!
Many have already pre registered, and I'll be taking this time to organize my thoughts.
I'll leave you with this thought as the season of laying up foods for the winter approaches quickly....
Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:
Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,
Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.
Proverbs 6:6-8
The ant has been famous in all ages for its social habits, foresight,
economy and industry.
Collecting their food at the proper seasons,
they bite off the ends of the grain
to prevent it from germinating,
and lay it up in cells till needed.
